This utility sorts sections within notebooks and section groups.

This utility sorts sections within notebooks and section groups and (sub)pages within sections. The sorting can be done by name or last Modified Time, ascending or descending, and can be done recursively (for sections in section groups in the currently selected notebook or section group, etc) or not.

The sorting routines respect sub page structure. For some reason, the section groups themselves apparently cannot be sorted.

There is no default sort in OneNote. I think people assume cause it as 2010 in the title it will only work for that version. This works with every version up to Pro 2016. I use it at work and home. OneNote is totally unorganized without it!

I have been on OneNote 2013, 2016 and this last year on Office 365. OneNote 2010 Sort Utility has worked on all of them and continues to. I wouldn't be without it. I want to find out who wrote it so I can send them money.

Since installing "OneNote 2010 Sort Utility" and sorting one Notebook, the Search feature in OneNote 2013 (Office 365) is broken. I have tried repairing MS Office (Quick & Online) but still my issue is not resolved. I have also tried to rebuild the Search Index but that did not resolve the issue. I used the Search feature daily with OneNote without issue until using "OneNote 2010 Sort Utility".I would not recommend installing "OneNote 2010 Sort Utility". :(
